We’re excited to announce that Kroger’s Columbus Division has partnered with Crimson Cup to bring select varieties of our locally-roasted coffee to 54 stores throughout the region. Six of our award-winning coffee can now be found among the natural and organic offerings in the coffee aisle, as well as on the local display in select locations.
“Crimson Cup is a well-established brand with a loyal following, especially here in central Ohio,” said Mike Murphy, VP of Merchandising for Kroger’s Columbus Division. “Kroger, being an Ohio-based company, is proud to support local manufacturers, and we know our customers value local brands and products. Kroger is thrilled to partner with Crimson Cup to make this quality coffee available to our customers.”
Kroger customers can choose our Organic Armando’s Blend, a smooth and slightly sweet medium roast that’s perfect as an everyday coffee, as well as our signature blends 3rd Shift and 3rd Shift Decaf, which are classic dark roasts with a medium body and low acidity.
Kroger is also carrying three direct trade Friend2Farmer coffee varieties: El Socorro Honduras, Guatemala Antigua Pacamara and Costa Rica. Each Friend2Farmer coffee is purchased directly from small-plot coffee farmers and then imported, hand-roasted and packaged by Crimson Cup.
“We enjoy partnership opportunities with businesses that share our same passion for local,” said Founder and President Greg Ubert. “After 25 years in the coffee industry, we are proud to be able to continue to grow and share our story of sustainable coffee sourcing.”
All of the Crimson Cup blends found at Kroger retail at $9.69 to $11.79 for a 12 oz. bag.
