Hi, I’m Greg Ubert.
Twenty years ago, I turned my passion for awesome coffee into an independent living: Crimson Cup® Coffee and Tea.
I initially created Crimson Cup to do something I love – roast and deliver the best-tasting, freshest coffee available. Yet, after a few short years of roasting and wholesaling, I learned that brewing the highest-quality beans was just the first step.
Even greater fulfillment came from teaching independent coffee shop owners how to turn their long, hard hours of work into a profitable – and enjoyable – living.
That’s how Crimson Cup came to have a dual mission: supply the best coffee and coffee house products and teach independent coffee house owners how to be successful in specialty coffee.
This blog covers both of our passions. We talk – a lot – about what makes great coffee. And we go behind the counter to show what it takes to start and run a successful coffee shop.
