Looking for a coffee that’s “… delicate and lush, pure yet musky and deep?” That’s how Kenneth Davids and the Coffee Review described our Ethiopian Jimma Agaro. Reviewers awarded 95 of 100 points to this fully washed coffee.
Produced by the Biftu Gudina Cooperative, Ethiopian Jimma Agaro includes heirloom and native varietals growing at elevations of 5,900 to 7,000 feet in the Jimma Zone of Ethiopia’s Oromia State.
“Established in 2012, the Coop and its 150 members use all the right tools to produce this fully washed coffee,” said Coffee Buyer Brandon Bir. “They use an eco-pulper, full-immersion soak and raised-bed drying to create a super complex, sweet and juicy cup.”
Coffee Review’s blind assessment was, “Lyric, delicately rich, levitating. Juicy, floral-toned acidity; smooth, supple mouthfeel. Crisp cacao and nut, musky lily, cleanly lush fruit (strawberry guava, tangerine) in aroma and cup. Surprisingly deep, resonantly flavor-saturated finish.” The complete Crimson Cup Ethiopian Jimma Agaro Coffee Review is available on the Coffee Review website.
Ethiopian Jimma Agaro is available for a limited time at Crimson Cup Coffee Houses in Clintonville and Upper Arlington. Bags of fresh-roasted coffee can be purchased on our website.
