J's Place on Main Nicholasville KentuckyCongratulations to Gwen Riley, who recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of her J’s Place on Main coffee house!

Located at 101 S. Main Street in downtown Nicholasville, Kentucky, the independent coffee house marked its anniversary with an all-day event featuring $1 drinks.

On Sept. 24, manager Todd Riley and his team served over 500 $1 drinks – ringing up over $1,200 in total sales. Todd and his team are a well-oiled machine, serving a full menu of breakfast and lunch items as well as hot and cold espresso, cappuccino, latte and mocha drinks, drip coffee, smoothies, and hot and iced teas.

cc_jsPlace_webelieveGwen started J’s Place on Main to reach out to those who needed a hand up after hard times. “We are a missional coffee house, which means we exist to make money…and then give the majority of it away!” she said. J’s Place features a “pay it forward wall,” which allows guests to buy a drink, a meal or simply a thank you for another guest. The “pay it forwards” are written on coffee sleeves and then hung on the wall to be redeemed by other guests.

The “WE Believe” sign at J’s Place sums up what Gwen and her team are trying to achieve in the community. The independent coffee house has become a big part of Nicholasville’s downtown revitalization.

WE Believe J’s Place on Main will continue to do great things. Kudos to Gwen, Todd and their team! If you’d like to learn more about J’s Place, visit their website or Facebook page. The company’s Twitter profile is @jsplaceonmain.
