Our Newest Coffee Shop: Dawdy Haus Coffee in Springs, Pennsylvania
November 15, 2018 (Published: June 30, 2014)

What better way to celebrate the beginning of summer than with a new coffee house opening?
We’re happy to welcome Larry and Kay Byler to the Crimson Cup community! They just opened their Dawdy Haus Coffee at 634 Springs Road in Springs, Penn.
Translated from Pennsylvania Dutch, Dawdy Haus means “Grandfather’s House.” Inspired by their grandparents, the Bylers have given their coffee house the feel of a comfy cottage. Walnut cabinets and a warm fireplace with a gorgeous copper chimney create a frame for family heirlooms such as the marriage certificate of Kay Byler’s grandparents.
In addition to a full menu of espresso-based hot and frozen drinks and tea, Dawdy House features luscious baked goods and a mini-market with fudge, canned foods, and other Amish-style goodies.
Larry and Kay opened Dawdy Haus after completing our Seven Steps to Success coffee franchise alternative program. They’re off to a great start, and we’re here to support them as their business grows.
