Crimson Cup Named Great Lakes Regional Finalist in DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year competitionIt’s been an exciting week at Crimson Cup! Over the weekend, our Wayfarer Blend brought home the second-place prize from the America’s Best Espresso competition at Coffee Fest New York.

Then, we learned we have been selected as the Great Lakes Regional Finalist for the 2016 DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year Award sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. We’re one of only seven finalists chosen from the 100 Blue Ribbon award winners in the first part of the competition.

“This award is a testament to the hard work of everyone in the Crimson Cup community – from our central Ohio cuppers to the small farmers who grow our coffee and the community of thriving independent coffee shops and specialty grocers across 29 states and internationally who distribute Crimson Cup coffee to consumers,” said Founder and President Greg Ubert.

The DREAM BIG program recognizes companies for their dedication to the principles of free enterprise and contributions to restoring jobs and supporting economic growth. All businesses are evaluated in four key areas – business strategy; staff training and motivation; customer service; and community involvement.

Crimson Cup celebrates our 25th anniversary in 2016, and it’s shaping up to be an outstanding year. Among other recent honors, we were named 2016 Macro Roaster of the Year by Roast Magazine and 2016 Ohio Small Business of the Year by the Ohio Made Awards.

In June, we’re headed to Washington, D.C. for the 12th annual America’s Small Business Summit, which will take place June 13-15.  One June 14, one regional finalist will receive the DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year Award and a $10,000 cash prize. Wish us luck!
