Welcome to The Coffee Potter in Long Valley, New Jersey
April 28, 2023 (Published: September 15, 2017)We’re excited to welcome The Coffee Potter and Owners Geralyn and David Hickey to the Crimson Cup family. The new coffee shop at 24 Schooleys Mountain Rd, held its grand opening in May.
The Coffee Potter’s Mission is to, “Unite the Community and Connect its People,” David Hickey said. “Our town deserves good coffee, and our hope is that this shop will be a place for community and relationships.”
The Coffee Potter serves a full menu of hot, iced and frozen espresso drinks – including mochas, lattes and cappuccinos – as well as iced coffee and tea, cold-brewed coffee, hot chocolate, fruit smoothies and other custom drinks. The shop also features a brew bar for pour-over coffees and a tap system for Crimson Cup’s Nitro cold brew. To complement drinks, the menu includes breakfast and lunch fare ranging from cookies, muffins and pastries to sandwich wraps and ricotta pies.
The 1,200-square-foot coffeehouse has space for about 25 customers to gather. It offers free Wi-Fi to keep mobile workers, students and business leaders connected while they enjoy their coffee. For coffee lovers on the go, The Coffee Potter also offers drive-thru service.
The Hickeys learned how to run a successful coffee shop through Crimson Cup’s 7 Steps to Success coffee franchise alternative. Based on Founder and President Greg Ubert’s book, Seven Steps to Success in the Specialty Coffee Industry, the program teaches aspiring coffee shop owners everything they need to run a profitable business.
“It’s a tall order to master all the elements of running a small business while simultaneously learning the nuances of the specialty coffee business,” Greg said. “That’s why we developed our 7 Steps program! It offers all the support of a franchise – and more – but without franchise fees, royalties or business restrictions.”
Crimson Cup consultants guide new coffee shop owners in development of a coffee shop business plan and assist with site evaluation, on-site training, marketing materials, menu ideas and much more. “Our services are designed to help reduce costs, increase profits and eliminate potential headaches,” Greg said.
Through our 7 Steps program, Crimson Cup has helped hundreds of independent coffee shops to develop thriving businesses.
We look forward to helping The Coffee Potter grow in the months and years ahead. To keep up with happenings at the shop, follow their Facebook page.
