Nitro Cold Brew Coffee from Crimson Cup Coffee & TeaSince we introduced Nitro Cold Brew to Columbus in 2014, this effervescent iced beverage has bubbled to the top of the cold coffee trend.

Cocoa Nib Nitro cold brew coffee Crimson Cup Coffee House Columbus OhioInfused with nitrogen bubbles and dispensed through a tap system, Nitro delivers a visually intriguing drink with a rich, creamy texture and natural sweetness – without the need to add milk and sugar. Often compared to a fine milk stout in appearance and mouth feel, Nitro is served in a distinctive tulip glass at Crimson Cup Coffee Houses in Clintonville and Upper Arlington.

Crimson Cup’s Nitro begins with our exclusive craft coffee beans. For a super smooth taste, we steep small batches of coarsely ground beans in room-temperature water for up to 24 hours.  This slow infusion extracts the sumptuous coffee flavor from the beans but leaves behind most of the compounds that can make coffee taste bitter.

Because Crimson Cup’s Nitro cold brew uses a concentrated coffee base, it packs a harder caffeine punch than a standard cup of Joe or espresso-based beverage.

  • Cocoa Nib Nitro melds the flavors of coffee, cocoa and vanilla beans into a slightly sweet and deliciously frothy drink.
  • In the winter months, Hopped Holiday Nitro adds whole-grain Oregon hops and a mixture of citrus peels, cinnamon and other spices. The drink is finished off with a small amount of milk sugar for an even bigger body and slight sweetness.
  • We use Nitro in a rotating menu of nonalcoholic craft coffee cocktails infused with flavors such as lavender, chamomile and cane sugar.

Nitro makes the perfect morning pick-me-up or cap to a night on the town. Enjoy at our Crimson Cup Coffee Houses in Clintonville and Upper Arlington and at a growing number of Columbus-area bars and restaurants!
